Community for an online school: learning that isn't solitary
Community in Softbook is a feed, profiles, direct and group chats, and gamification on one student base: students talk to each other, support each other, and stay motivated to reach the end.
- Conversation inside the platform
- Points and rewards
- 30 days free
Feed and profiles
Feed and profiles — the school as a living space
Every member has a profile with their activity and posts, and the feed gathers school and student publications into one stream. People comment, react, and talk — learning stops being something you do alone.
- Student profile: posts, friends, and activity inside the school
- A real-time feed of school and student publications
- Reactions and comments under posts
- Paid publications — for exclusive content
Messenger
A messenger that keeps the conversation where the course is
Students don't head elsewhere to talk: the discussion about the course stays where the course is, and you can see what's happening in the group instead of hearing about it last. A full messenger works inside the platform, with direct and group chats, and a chat for a study group is created with one button from "Student groups" — everyone is already in it.
- Replies to messages, reactions, pinning, read receipts, and typing indicators
- Message search and file sharing
- Group chats with admins and invitations by link
- A "Create group chat" button right inside a study group
- Fine-grained privacy: a student sees only their own group, and direct messages can be turned off
Paid posts
A paywall right in the feed — money beyond courses
You start earning from what you used to give away: a breakdown, a template, a closed post — none of it has to be packaged into a course, publishing is enough. A post can be made paid: an amount, a currency, and a choice of payment providers, with the content opening after payment.
- A paid post in the feed: amount, currency, choice of providers
- The content is hidden until payment, with the price on the button in plain view
- Runs on the same student base as your courses and sales
Gamification
Gamification is a set of rules, not a pile of badges
You reward not "for showing up," but for what the school actually needs: brought a friend, bought a product, reached the end — the reward becomes a growth tool instead of profile decoration. A rule is assembled from triggers with and/or logic: you decide what it fires for, and for whom.
- Nine triggers, among them signing up through your link and buying a product
- And/or logic, a "specific course" or "any N courses" mode, targeting by group
- Your own reward images; a reward can award points
- Two leaderboards: by points and by rewards
Around the courses
Everything around your courses — on one student base
Conversation, support, and gamification live where the courses live. The student stays in the school, closer to the material and the group, and gets to a result.
- Community and courses — on one student base
- Conversation is tied to groups and to the learning
- The conversation stays where the learning is — and retention goes up
Real schools. Real results. Real people.

Questions about community and engagement

Yes. A post in the feed can be made paid: you set the amount, the currency, and the payment providers, and the content opens after payment.
Yes, if the option is turned on: students write to each other and in shared chats, react, and reply to messages. Direct messages can be turned off, and visibility can be limited to a student's own group.
Points and reward statistics are in gamification. End-to-end analytics of engagement and progress is on the control and management page → Control and management
