Update: Softbook v.2.0.2
We continue to refine the Softbook platform, making it more convenient and functional for our users. Version 2.0.2 introduces several key enhancements to improve the experience for students, instructors, and administrators.
🖥️ Interface Enhancements and Course Logic Improvements
- Updated Lesson Start Screen. Important details (assignments, tests, access time, and date) have been moved to the “Lesson Info” button, keeping the interface clean. The lesson start button is now always visible on mobile devices.
- More Flexible Student Access Settings. When saving course settings, the checkbox “Apply new access settings to all students” now also affects “access from enrollment.” If a student previously had 30 days of access and this value is changed to 60 with the checkbox enabled, all students in the course will now have 60 days of access, regardless of their enrollment date. This applies only to students without assigned pricing plans, as those have their own access settings.
- Automatic Access Period Updates for Pricing Plans. If the access period in a pricing plan is changed, all students assigned to that plan will have their access updated accordingly, based on their enrollment date.
🔧 Bug Fixes and Additional Improvements
- Fixed Course Duplication Issue. Previously, the “Show Step Titles” setting would not activate when copying a course if it was enabled in the original course.
- Enhanced Search in the “Assignments” Section. Administrators can now search for students by first and last name, making management easier.
- Comment Moderation Fix. Comments pending moderation will no longer be visible to students.
- Customizable “Buy” Button. The product settings now allow customization of the “Buy” button text on the checkout page in all four languages.
- Cloud Enhancements. Unnecessary system folders have been removed, and rare issues with opening existing folders and pagination have been resolved.
- General UI Improvements. The LMS and user dashboard interfaces have been refined for a better experience.

How does “Apply new access settings to all students” work now?
The option now updates access counted from enrollment as well as other course settings. If access changes from 30 to 60 days and the checkbox is enabled, eligible students receive 60 days based on their enrollment. Students assigned to pricing plans are excluded because their access is controlled by those plans.
What happens when the access period in a pricing plan changes?
Softbook automatically updates the access period for every student assigned to that pricing plan. The new duration is calculated from each learner’s enrollment date. This keeps the group consistent with the current plan settings and removes the need to edit affected student accounts one at a time.
Which administration fixes are included in version 2.0.2?
Course copies now preserve the Show Step Titles setting, administrators can search assignments by a student’s first and last name, and comments waiting for moderation remain hidden from students. These corrections reduce repeated setup work, make assignment management faster, and prevent unapproved discussion content from appearing prematurely.
