We keep improving the platform to help you create and sell courses faster, while making learning more convenient for your students. Here’s what’s new:
1️⃣ Generate a course structure with AI
Now you can build a full course outline in just a few clicks – simply describe your topic and let AI suggest a lesson plan.
2️⃣ Quick course structure creation
Need it even faster? Enter a title, description, and number of lessons – we’ll create them with default names you can edit later.
3️⃣ Quick creation
New tools are available not only in the course editor, but also when creating new courses.
4️⃣ AI-powered rephrasing for homework replies
AI can help rewrite your homework feedback. Choose the tone – neutral, friendly, motivating, supportive, strict (but polite!), inspiring, ironic (when appropriate), or business-like.
5️⃣ Flexible student sidebar
In your school’s general settings, you can hide unused menu items for students and add your own links – for example, contact details or your school website.
6️⃣ Post-course offers
After completing a course, students can automatically get an offer to buy another course. You can add a discount and limit the offer to specific student groups.
7️⃣ Even more stability
We fixed minor bugs in the interface and improved the Access Management, Products, and Additional Fields sections.
Thank you for staying with us – we keep making the platform better for you! 🚀
Frequently asked questions
How does AI help create a course in Softbook 2.0.5?
Describe the course topic and AI can suggest a complete structure with a lesson plan. If you only need a fast starting point, enter the title, description, and lesson count to generate lessons with editable default names. Both options reduce setup time while leaving the author in control of the final structure.
Can AI rewrite an instructor’s homework feedback?
Yes. The instructor can ask AI to rephrase a homework reply while keeping the intended meaning. Available tones include neutral, friendly, motivating, supportive, strict but polite, inspiring, ironic when appropriate, and business-like. This helps adapt feedback to the situation without composing every response again from the beginning.
What can be changed in the student sidebar?
School owners can hide menu items that students do not use and add custom links through the general school settings. For example, the sidebar may include contact details, a school website, support resources, or another useful destination. A shorter, relevant menu makes navigation easier and keeps important external links accessible.
How do post-course offers work in version 2.0.5?
After a student completes a course, Softbook can automatically show an offer for another course. The school may attach a discount and limit the offer to selected student groups. This creates a timely next step in the learning path and supports repeat sales without sending the same promotion to every learner.
What else changed in Softbook 2.0.5?
The update makes quick-creation tools available during new course setup as well as inside the course editor. It also includes interface fixes and stability improvements in Access Management, Products, and Additional Fields. Together, these changes reduce routine setup work and make common administrative sections more reliable.
